I'm Christy Boyette,
I'm mom to three girls and wife to Tyler, who is a pastor in Belmont, NC. I grew up in South Florida and currently live in Gastonia, NC. I started in the health insurance industry because I have personally been enrolled in Medicaid, health share plans, Marketplace ACA plans, and even spent a year uninsured. Health insurance is overly complicated and I enjoy helping people figure out what plans are best for their needs. My model is to educate you about different options so you can make informed decisions. I have a no-pressure, laid back approach, and will enjoy helping you solve your healthcare puzzle!

I am an independent broker and represent multiple plans in your area. I will compare them based on your needs and help you select what best fits for you. My services are always free, I am paid directly by the insurance carrier. I serve all of NC, SC, and FL.
Medicare Part A
Medicare Part A covers hospital care, including inpatient stays, skilled nursing facilities, home health care, and hospice. It mainly covers your costs when you’re admitted to the hospital overnight.
Medicare Part B
Medicare Part B covers outpatient care, like doctor visits, outpatient surgeries, lab work, X-rays, ambulance services, and medical equipment. In general, if it’s not covered by Part A, it may be covered by Part B.
What is not covered by Medicare?
Original Medicare doesn’t cover everything. It does not include prescription drugs, dental, vision, hearing, or routine physical exams. Original Medicare can leave you exposed to some high copays and coinsurance.
Medicare Advantage / Part C
Medicare Advantage plans combine all your Medicare part A and part B benefits into one plan through a private insurance company. Most include medical, prescription, and extra perks like dental, vision, and hearing. They use a network of doctors and hospitals to help keep costs low, and each plan includes a yearly limit on out-of-pocket expenses.
Medicare Supplements
Medicare Supplement plans work alongside Original Medicare to help cover what Medicare doesn’t pay in full. They offer predictable costs and the freedom to see any doctor nationwide who accepts Medicare. While they don’t include drug, dental, vision, or hearing benefits, you can easily add those with separate plans.
If you’re under 65 and don’t qualify for Medicare, you can get coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace (ACA plans). These plans cover doctor visits, hospital care, prescriptions, and preventive services. The government often subsidizes these plans based on your income to make them more affordable.
I represent multiple "off maketplace" options. If you no longer want an ACA plan or are getting little to no subsidies, there are some other great options.
